On December 5, Interim President Bonita R. Durand, Ph.D., announced several major appointments to Buffalo State leadership roles:

• Amitra Wall has been named provost and vice president of academic affairs after serving as interim provost and vice president of academic affairs. In this role, Wall serves as the university’s chief academic officer.

• Lisa Morrison-Fronckowiak has been named chief diversity officer after serving as interim chief diversity officer and interim Title IX coordinator.

Tom Killian has been appointed chief information officer (CIO) after serving as interim CIO.

• Elizabeth Ching-Bush has been named dean of students, officially transitioning from her role as interim dean of students.

• M. Scott Goodman has assumed the role of associate vice president for graduate, research, and special projects within the Academic Affairs Office. He previously served in leadership roles such as chair of the Chemistry Department and interim dean of the School of Natural and Social Sciences.

• Kristin Fields will serve as the associate vice president for continuing professional studies, which now includes Say Yes and Learning, Engagement, and Development Services (LEADS). 

 

In addition, on February 3, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Amitra Wall, announced these appointments:

• Kelly Frothingham has been appointed dean of the School of Arts and Sciences after serving as interim dean for more than one year.

Shannon Budin has been named the new Horace Mann Endowed Chair in Exceptional Education. She has previously served as professor and assistant dean of exceptional education.
